These techniques involve using microneedles to puncture the skin very lightly under numbing cream application; this is similar to a tattoo procedure, but without the ink.
The penetration of the skin with the needles of the Microneedling device – roller, DermaFNS, DermaPen or a stamp – causes epidermal differentiation and dermal remodelling through collagen synthesis via stimulation of the fibroblast cell that makes the collagen, elastin and complex sugars and molecules that make the skin’s own internal moisturising cream.
These molecular and structural changes in the skin can cause plumping of the skin, reducing the appearance of fine wrinkles and scars (including acne scars). This very popular procedure and is used for reducing the appearance of different types of scars, wrinkles, open pores on the face; it is also used for stretch marks, and to promote hair growth on the scalp.

What happens during a Microneedling treatment?
We ask you to apply the Numbing cream 1 hour before the procedure after double cleansing your skin. Once your photos and consent forms have been sorted at the clinic, we cleanse your skin and proceed with the Microneedling with our Derma FNS pen which is one of the safest and best Microneedling systems in the market. We will generally start on the forehead covering the skin uniformly by doing multiple passes on the same zone, before moving to other parts of the face. We use a glide medium called SkinMed PLC cream to facilitate the process. We are looking for and endpoint of redness and pin point bleeding in the treated areas. The treatment generally takes about 45 minutes following which we will cleanse your skin and send you home with a barrier repair cream and sunscreen on your face.
